PM Modi's message from Lal Qila

On the 80th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who hoisted the national flag for the 13th consecutive time at the Red Fort, made several announcements for the youth of the country. He also announced the Sapta Dhara scheme, which integrates seven sectors for comprehensive development. Prime Minister's announcements were inclusive and acknowledged the increasing importance of the Gen Z population.

The announcement that free AI training will be provided to one crore young men and women gives a lot of hope and will help prepare the youth for new jobs of this era. AI does things more beautifully and effectively than humans, and thus it is natural that jobs will shift to the sector. The government's decision to provide free training to youth is an incentive to channel the creative potential of many young people into a new direction.

The Prime Minister's announcements were a reminder that the successful youth-led protest at Jantar Mantar on the NEET-UG question paper leak issue has influenced the way the government now thinks. The Prime Minister also announced that free online classes will be held for competitive exams. The exploitation of private coaching classes has led to a drastic deterioration in this sector; it can be assumed that the government's online classes will go a long way in curbing the evil trends in this field. The Sapta Dhara project includes agriculture, manufacturing, defence, innovative entrepreneurship, connectivity, blue economy, and soft power to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047.

The Prime Minister also urged political parties to rise above their differences and unite to ensure 33 per cent reservation for women in the legislative assemblies. The Prime Minister did not forget that although armed Naxalism has been eradicated from the forests of the country, those who harbour Naxalism in their minds remain in the country and cautioned the youth about them. The Prime Minister also observed that globalisation has ended and today each country prioritise thier own interests. The Centre and the states should work together to achieve the goal of a developed India.

The country needs to become self-sufficient in all sectors. With this in mind, India has signed free trade agreements with more than forty countries. The Prime Minister highlighted that this has been a boost for the entrepreneurial sector and that Kerala needs to increase its exports of marine resources, including prawns. The Prime Minister's suggestion to use yoga, handicrafts, cinema, and digital content to attract tourists should also be considered by the tourism departments.
