Don’t crack me or my family: Suresh Gopi on ornaments worn by daughter for her wedding

Actor and former MP Suresh Gopi's daughter Bhagya got married last Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and stars including Mammootty and Mohanlal attended the wedding ceremony held at Guruvayur. A large number of celebrities also arrived at the reception that followed.

The clothes and ornaments worn by Bhagya were much discussed. She had a simple attire. There have been various discussions on social media related to jewellery. Now Suresh Gopi has responded to such campaigns. He clarified that all the ornaments were gifts given to Bhagya by his parents and grandparents.

"In the light of baseless malicious information spreading in social media, I would like to clarify that the ornaments that Bhagya was wearing - every bit - were gifts from her parents and grandparent. Everything was billed and duly paid with GST and all other taxes. The designers were from Chennai and Hyderabad, and one material was from Bhima. Please stop doing this, and emotionally, don’t crack me or my family. This humble soul is capable of fulfilling and taking care of these responsibilities," Suresh Gopi wrote on Facebook.
