‘I don’t know whether to celebrate today or sit and cry’, Supriya Menon shares emotional note on birthday

Taking to Instagram, producer Supriya Menon has shared an emotional note about her late father on her birthday. “Birthdays have always been special in my household. Dad (also ma) made me feel on top of the world. I always got new clothes, gifts, superb birthday parties with cake for every year growing up. It made me feel celebrated and well special. But this year the man who made me feel like this is no longer with me. I don’t know whether to celebrate today or sit and cry as I can’t deal with his loss”, she wrote.

Sharing some pictures of her father, Supriya added, “These pictures are from the night before my wedding. Dad and me dancing on my impromptu mehandi night where a friend compiled a play list and another friend took pictures. While my dad was super stressed with the impending wedding arrangements he took out a few minutes to let loose and dance with me. This is who he was. Always special and always making me feel special. Thank you to all of you for writing in and wishing me. I see all your love and warmth. Trying to celebrate today as Daddy would have.”
