16-year-old dies after LED TV explodes in house, wall and concrete slab collapse

LUCKNOW: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old died after LED TV exploded in his house. The incident took place in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased is 16-year-old Omendra. Omendra's mother, sister-in-law and friend were seriously injured in the accident. They are now undergoing treatment. The wall and concrete slab of the house collapsed in the powerful blast.

Omendra was immediately rushed to the hospital but his life could not be saved. Police said Omendra's death was caused by small projectiles hitting his face, chest, and neck as the TV exploded. 'We came running after hearing a loud noise. At first it was thought that the cooking gas cylinder had exploded. Smoke was coming from inside the house. ' - said a neighbour woman.
