NEW DELHI: Bharat Jodo Yatra, under the leadership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, has arrived in Jammu & Kashmir. The yatra that began in Kashmir's Hatli More will end in Chadwali. The final session of the yatra will be a demonstration of power by the opposition parties. It is reported that among the opposition parties, CPM won't take part on the grounds of the insult directed at the CPM at the beginning of the tour. According to reports, the party's Kerala unit has strongly objected to the CPM's participation.

Although the CPM will not participate, the CPI will join the yatra. Along with the participation of the CPI in the concluding session, opposition stalwarts such as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will be joining the yatra. Rahul Gandhi will hoist the national flag at Banihal on Republic Day.

Earlier, citing the security problem in Kashmir, the security agencies have asked Congress to continue traveling by car and not on foot, but the party is still continuing the yatra by walking.
