Leopard attack in court; 5 people including police officer attacked; forest department started investigation

GHAZIABAD: Five people injured in a leopard attack. The incident took place inside Ghaziabad court in Uttar Pradesh this afternoon. Eyewitnesses said that the leopard was seen on the first floor of the court building. The leopard became exasperated when the lawyers and others who were present at the spot saw the leopard and tried to get to safety in the nearby room.

The leopard attacked a cobbler on the court premises and then a police officer who was nearby. Meanwhile, a lawyer stepped forward to chase away the leopard using a sand shovel and stick. The leopard attacked him as well. As soon as the information was received, the police and ambulance reached the spot and removed the injured.

After receiving the information, the forest department officials reached the court premises. They have started searching for the leopard on the court premises but are not successful so far.
