NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who came to Ayodhya for the election campaign, visited the Ram Temple. This is Modi's first visit after the Prana Pratishta ceremony held in January. After the pujas at the Ram Temple, Modi conducted a two-kilometre road show in Ayodhya City from Sugriva Fort to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.

The Prime Minister reached Ayodhya around 7 pm after campaigning in Jharkhand and Bihar. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received the Prime Minister. Modi prostrated in front of the shrine and participated in the pujas.

The roadshow started from Sugriva Fort. People were thronging on both sides of the Rama Path. The Prime Minister greeted the people from the side of the vehicle. The roadshow was divided into 40 blocks. City streets were decorated with huge cutouts of the Prime Minister and Yogi Adityanath and pictures of Ram Lalla. Heavy security was put in place in the temple city because of the Prime Minister's visit. Yogi Adityanath directly assessed the security. The Ayodhya temple was crowded with devotees from yesterday morning.

In the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections, the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency, which includes Ayodhya, will go to polls on May 2. BJP's Lallu Singh, Samajwadi Party's Awadhesh Prasad and BSP's Satchidanand Pandey are facing each other in the elections.

Prime Minister noted on X that the hearts of the people of Ayodhya are as big as Lord Rama and extended greetings to those who came to bless the roadshow.
