Patna HC judge mocks reservation during case hearing, lands in trouble during live streaming

NEW DELHI: The remarks of Patna High Court judge mocking reservation during the hearing of a case has become controversial. Justice Sandeep Kumar's statement was broadcasted through live streaming. The District Land Acquisition Officer of Bihar, Arvind Kumar Bharati, was directed to appear before the court and give an explanation in connection with a case. The officer was earlier under suspension in a vigilance case. Judge Sandeep Kumar asked how much bribe did he receive in that incident and whether he got the job through reservation. Then everyone in the courtroom burst into laughter. The lawyers commented that now the court might have understood the matter. The lawyers and the judge did not notice that the proceedings were being streamed live.
