MUMBAI: Union Minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari fainted while on stage at an election rally held at Maharashtra’s Yavatmal Lok Sabha constituency on Wednesday. The minister was participating in the election rally of NDA candidate Rajshree Patil. Rajshree Patil is a leader of the Shiv Sena faction of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Gadkari collapsed just when he was about to address the party workers from the stage. The others on stage made a timely intrusion and held the union minister from falling. He was then rushed to a hospital and is currently under treatment in the emergency department. As per sources, his health condition is stable and there are no reasons to worry.

In the latest news, Nitin Gadkari came on X platform to clear all air surrounding the health scare. The union minister blamed the torpid heat for the incident and informed all about his 'perfect health'.

Gadkari is a member of Lok Sabha from Nagpur constituency in Maharashtra. Rated as one of the finest ministers to have worked under Modi’s leadership, the 66-year-old veteran is again contesting from Nagpur constituency. The first phase of polling was held on April 19 in constituencies including Nagpur.
