Actor Sreejith Ravi said case fabricated when caught first for flashing, now blames illness

THRISSUR: Actor Sreejith Ravi was arrested twice for flashing at children. The Thrissur West Police arrested the actor yesterday. He flashed at children near the S N Park in Thrissur. He had confessed to the crime. The police first arrested him in 2016 for a similar offence at Pathirippala in Ottappalam. The actor then publicly said that he had done no wrong and that the case was fabricated. Many people believed that Sreejith Ravi's words were true after saying that they had misunderstood and distorted things. That is why the police registered a case under POCSO with clear evidence this time.

CCTV visuals turn decisive
The actor flashed at the two children aged 11 and five. On being informed, the children’s parents reached the spot but could not find anyone there. They later lodged a complaint. The children told police that they are familiar with the person who misbehaved with them. They told police the car’s colour. The police examined the CCTV visuals and followed the car. The children later identified the actor. The actor soon confessed to the crime. A private channel reported that the actor had told police that it is his disease and it happened as he failed to take his medicine.
