Actress assault case: Probe to continue into VIP mentioned by director, ADGP responds to question whether Dileep will be arrested soon

KOCHI: Crime branch ADGP Sreejith said that the raid on Dileep's house was done with the permission of the court. "The investigation will be completed in a short time. Further details on the progress of the investigation cannot be revealed at this time. It is not possible to say about Dileep's arrest now. The probe would continue into the VIP mentioned by director Balachandra Kumar", he said.

The crime branch raided Dileep's house in Aluva and seized a hard disk and a mobile phone. The raid started at 12 noon and ended at 6.45 pm. The inspection was carried out at Dileep's construction company and his brother's house. The team doing further investigation in the actress assault case and the team probing the new case jointly conducted the investigation. Dileep was not at home when the probe team reached the house. The investigation team jumped over the protective wall and got inside. Later, Dileep's sister came and opened the door of the house. Dileep reached home during the raid.
