Death of Vismaya: Motor vehicle department suspends Kiran Kumar from service

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kiran Kumar, assistant motor vehicle inspector of Kollam enforcement, and husband of Vismaya, who committed suicide at Sasthamcotta in Kollam, has been suspended from service. Transport Minister Antony Raju informed this.

The minister had sought a report from the motor vehicles department as soon as the incident happened. Kiran Kumar has been suspended for six months pending further investigation. Further action will be taken against Kiran Kumar as per the findings in the case.

South zone IG Harshitha Athalloori will monitor the investigation. IG will reach the spot today and evaluate the probe. The DGP added that strict legal action would be taken against the culprits.
