IDUKKI: Two KSU activists have surrendered before the police in connection with the murder of SFI activist Dheeraj. The two have been identified as Tony Thekkilakkadan and Jithin Uppumakkal. Both of them are KSU leaders.

Both Tony and Jithin had accompanied first accused Nikhil Paili to the engineering college. Abhijith, who is undergoing treatment for his injuries, had told the police that he was stabbed by Tony.

Meanwhile, the police have filed an application in the court seeking the custody of accused Nikhil Paili and Jerin for 10 days.

Police sought the custody of the accused to find the weapon used in the murder and to complete evidence collection by taking them to the scene of action. The Idukki Court is likely to consider the application on Friday.
