ED issues notice to Mohanlal to explain his visit to Monson Mavunkal's antique museum

KOCHI: Actor Mohanlal has been issued an ED notice in connection with his visit to the antiquities museum of Monson Mavunkal, who was arrested in a fraud case. Monson was found to have been involved in money laundering under the guise of antiquities. The notice sent to Mohanlal directs that he should appear in person next week and reply. Monson is currently serving a prison sentence for fake antiquities scam case.

ED had earlier received information that Mohanlal had visited Monson's house in Kaloor. The ED had also found out that Mohanlal was brought here by another actor who was closely associated with Monson. It is learned that Mohanlal's statement may be taken in another case besides the Monson case.
