Karipur gold smuggling case: Two more arrested, 21 arrested so far

KOZHIKODE: Police have arrested two more persons in connection with the Karipur gold smuggling case. The arrested persons have been identified as Karipur native Sajimon and Koduvally native Munawar Ali. With this, the number of those arrested in the case has increased to 21.

Another accused in the case, Shihab, a native of Kozhikode, was arrested by a special team yesterday. Shihab is the main accused who tried to attack Arjun Ayanki and his gang using a tipper lorry. Shihab was arrested by the police from a hiding place at Adivaram near Thamarassery.
