KOCHI: The police are recording statements of witnesses in the case of a 27-year-old woman brutally abused in a flat in Kochi. The statements of the flat residents and security employees were recorded yesterday.

Police will file a plea in the court tomorrow to get Martin Joseph, the accused in the case, in custody. The investigation team is of the belief that if the accused is questioned in detail, a clarity would be obtained on the things. More people have come forward with complaints against him.

The police arrested Martin on Thursday night. The woman, a model from Kannur escaped from his flat in Kochi Marine Drive with serious injuries and lodged a complaint with the police in March.
