Kottayam: Severed foot of youth found on roadside and body in plantation nearby in revenge killing

KOTTAYAM: Severed foot of a youth was found on the roadside at Edayappara in Kangazha. Police also found the body of a young man in a rubber plantation a short distance away. The deceased has been identified as Mahesh Thampan, a native of Pathanad. The incident took place this evening. Police believe the young man may have had his leg amputated after he was killed.

Two persons surrendered at the Manimala police station in connection with the incident, police said. Jayesh and Sachu Chandran are the individuals who surrendered. When questioned, the accused said it was a revenge killing.
