Serious allegation against police by husband of nurse in Thrikkunnapuzha

THHIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A man levelled serious allegation against the police in connection with the abduction bid incident of his wife, a nurse at Vandanam Medical College, while returning home after Covid duty. There has been a lapse from the side of the police in nabbing the culprits. Nawaz, the woman's husband, alleged that despite the violence in front of their eyes, the police did not intervene properly. Police said they would look into the matter tomorrow.

Nawaz said they summoned his wife undergoing treatment to the police station to record her statement. The accused fled the place seeing the police patrol vehicle. They were not ready to arrest the culprits despite seeing the incident. Ramesh Chennithala also said that there has been a lapse on the side of the police in the incident. Chennithala said a complaint would be lodged with the DGP.
