Temple employee arrested for sexually abusing woman in name of pooja

THRISSUR: An employee of a temple has been arrested for sexually abusing a woman under the guise of pooja. Arun T, an employee of Peringottukara Devasthanam, has been arrested. The Bellandur police in Bengaluru said that he is the assistant of the priest at the Sree Vishnumaya temple in Thrissur. He sexually abused a 38-year-old woman from Haralur in Bengaluru.

The woman came to the temple to resolve the problems faced after her husband's death. Arun convinced the woman that someone had cast a spell on her family. Later, he gathered her information, including her phone number. With this, he then started calling her for remedies and pooja. The complaint said that he later started sexually exploiting her under the guise of black magic. The police said that a detailed investigation is being conducted into the incident.
