Vijay Babu arrested in sexual abuse case; evidence will be collected today

KOCHI: Actor and producer Vijay Babu has been arrested in the case of sexually abusing an actress. His arrest was registered after he appeared for interrogation at the Aluva Police Club today.

The high court had granted him anticipatory bail. He will be released on station bail in the wake of it. Have asked the actor to cooperate with their seven days of interrogation. Evidence will be collected along with the actor from the hotels and flat in Kochi.

It was alleged that the actor had offered the actress an amount of Rs one crore to withdraw her complaint. A probe will be conducted on it. He will have to face action for revealing the name of the actress publicly.
