Woman arrested in Kozhikode for honey-trapping youth

KOZHIKODE: Police have arrested a woman who allegedly extorted money from a young man after honey-trapping him. The arrested person has been identified as Beypore native Sreeja. The police also arrested three others named Aknesh, Pranosh and Suhail, who helped the woman.

Sreeja had borrowed money from the youth. According to the police, Sreeja honey-trapped the youth over a grudge after he asked her to return the money. Sreeja tricked the youth into her flat by saying that she would return the money. Following this, Sreeja along with other co-accused beat him and made him naked before clicking pictures with him.

The accused then demanded money from him by blackmailing him using the photos. When he said that he had no money, they snatched everything he had and asked him to leave. The youth then went to the police station and lodged a complaint. The police announced that they would look into whether the accused had similarly extorted money from other people.
