Woman attacked for trying to stop group from cutting road without permission

KOZHIKODE: A young woman has been attacked for trying to stop a group of men from cutting a road in her field without permission. Lisha, a native of Iringal, was attacked with a shovel. The woman, who suffered serious head injuries, has been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College.

The incident took place at 4.30 am today. It is learnt that Lisha intervened when she saw a group of men cutting a road in her field without permission. Following this, a man attacked Lisha with a shovel. Soon, police arrived and rushed the woman to the hospital. Police said they would record Lisha's statement after her health improved and would take further action after that.
