attack

KOLLAM: A woman fractured an auto driver’s hand for recording a video of women fighting in the middle of the road. Vijith, a native of Kadakkal in Kollam, was attacked last Tuesday. Ansiya of Pangalukadu, attacked Vijith with an iron rod. The police have registered a case against her under non-bailable sections.

Ansiya, who runs a tailoring unit in Pangalukadu, and two other women engaged in a fight in the middle of the road as seen in films. The women were seen hurling abuses and stones were also pelted. Ansiya suspected Vijith to have recorded the video of the attack. Ansiya came to the auto stand to enquire about it. Ansiya didn't listen even though he said that he didn't shoot the video. She later attacked him with an iron rod and after that fled from there. The others immediately took Vijith to the hospital. The police have registered a case against her.

The case was registered against her based on the complaint of two women involved in the fight with her. The police were criticized for not taking action despite the demands of the local residents that action should be taken against Ansiya.
