30 medicos of Thrissur Medical College test positive for Covid-19; 13 Coffee House employees also contract disease

THRISSUR: 30 MBBS students of Thrissur Medical College have tested positive for Covid-19. The medicos who were on duty at the hospital were confirmed of the virus. The students of two batches contracted the disease. All students of the two batches have been asked to go quarantine.

It is a matter of concern that students who have been on hospital duty in the past few days have come into contact with patients and bystanders. A decision will be taken soon on whether to close the students hostel.

13 employees of the Indian Coffee House on the Medical College campus have been confirmed of the virus. As an employee of the coffee house died after contracting the disease, the rest were tested and spread of the disease was confirmed.
