Accident on way to work, hospital employee dies in Ponkunnam

KOTTAYAM: A woman motorist had a miserable end when a lorry ran over her while she was on her way to work. The dead has been identified as P G Ambili (43), wife of Makkal Santhosh of Koovapoika. She was a receptionist of a private hospital in Ponnkunnam. A lorry which came behind hit her vehicle while she was trying to turn from the main road to KVMS road leading to the hospital.

The rear wheels of the lorry ran over her body when she fell off the scooter. The scooter got trapped in the front wheel. The accident happened Wednesday morning at 8 am about 150 meters away from the hospital where Ambili was working.
