After man's death due to Covid, wife and son found dead at home

MANNAMPETTA (THRISSUR): After a man died of Covid, his wife and son were found dead in their bedroom. Sumesh's wife Anila (33) and son Ashwin (13), of Vettiyattil in Pookode, were found dead in two bedrooms.

The woman, who had been missing since morning, was found by a nearby woman on Monday afternoon. Sumesh died on May 7 while undergoing treatment for Covid. After Sumesh's death, only Anila and her son stayed at home. After Sumesh's death, the two were in a state of severe mental distress.

Anila was a lab assistant at Ponnani Taluk Hospital. She was trasnferred to Thrissur district TB centre four days ago and was on leave. Ashwin is an eighth grade student of Varakkara Gurudeva Public School. Scientific experts arrived at the spot and conducted an inspection. The body is in the mortuary of Thrissur Medical College Hospital. Varantharappilly police took action.
