Arrives in Kerala with symptoms of monkeypox; after confirmed of chicken pox UP native flees from hospital

KOCHI: A man from Uttar Pradesh, admitted to the hospital with symptoms of monkeypox, fled from there. A 30-year-old man who was undergoing treatment at the Aluva District Hospital has escaped from there. He arrived at the Kochi airport from UAE in the first week of this month.

He was admitted to the district hospital after showing symptoms of monkeypox. In the test conducted at the Alappuzha Virology Lab, he was confirmed of chicken pox. He fled while undergoing treatment for that. The police have started an investigation for him.
