Attack near NGO quarters in Kakkanad; three-member drug gang arrested

THRIKKAKARA: A three-member drug gang has been arrested by Thrikkakara police for creating terror atmosphere by using knife and for vandalizing a bus near Kakkanad NGO quarters. Kochi natives Shahnaz Shamsu (28), his brother Shaji (29) and Cheranalloor native Ansan (23) were arrested by police team led by Thrikkakara SI Aneesh PB.

The accused arrived at 5.30 pm on Sunday at a ground near NGO quarters where driving test practice was being held. They threatened people with a knife and vandalized the driving school bus. They also attacked instructor Prince George, he has injuries on his head and chest. The accused will be produced in court today. Police said that one of the accused Ansan is involved in several cases.
