Ban imposed on Sreenath Bhasi for insulting female anchor lifted

KOCHI: The producers association has lifted the ban imposed on actor Sreenath Bhasi for allegedly misbehaving with a female anchor during an interview for the promotion of his latest movie. In an online meeting held in Kochi today, the organization withdrew from the disciplinary action against the actor. The YouTube channel anchor had lodged a complaint to the producers’ association and following that, the actor was banned.

However, the complainant had informed the court that she does not want to proceed with the case as the actor had apologised and the issue has been settled. Following that, the producers’ association lifted the two-month ban. The producers’ association had earlier received various complaints against the actor on many issues including not coming to the shoot on time. Soon came the complaint of misbehaving with the anchor. With this, the organization imposed a ban on the actor.

The complaint against the actor is that during an interview held in a closed room of a luxury hotel in Kochi on October 21 over the promotion of his movie 'Chattamby', he abused and misbehaved with the anchor and the producer after switching off the camera. The actor, arrested in the incident was later released on bail.
