QATAR: The body of Minsa Mariam Jacob, a four-year-old girl who died after she was left locked inside her school bus in Doha, was brought to Kochi. She will be laid to rest at her house in Chingavanam, Kottayam. The body was brought to Kerala as per the wish of her father Abhilash Chacko to lay her to rest at their ancestral home.

The body was handed over to her relatives after completing all procedures at 9 in the morning. The family got the body only last evening.

Minsa lost her life on her fourth birthday due to the negligence of the staffs of the school bus. The employees locked the bus without realizing that the child had fallen asleep in the bus. The child trapped inside the bus died of suffocation due to the extreme heat.

Meantime, the Ministry of Education in Qatar ordered the closure of the school following her death. The action was taken after an investigation by the Ministry of Education found lapses from the side of the staffs. The ministry has also stated that strict action will be taken against them. The action is against the employees of Springfield Kindergarten in Al Wakrah.
