brahmapuram-

BENGALURU: The fire at the Brahmapuram waste plant was due to methane release and heat, according to contract company Zonta Infratech. The company said that they are not responsible for the waste treatment at the waste plant. The company is only responsible for bio-mining and treatment of old waste through capping. The company said that Zonta is not responsible for the disposal of waste that comes in every day.
Zonta Infratech reached an agreement with Kochi Corporation on September 6, 2021. The site was first operationalized on January 21, 2022. Zonta Infratech states that it has not received the letters that were sent by the corporation in February and March, and that it came to know about this first through the media.
