THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Film star and minister KB Ganeshkumar reacted to the Hema committee report. He stated that he did not know that there is a system called Power Group in the Malayalam film industry. He stated that he is not aware of any actor being targetted by ATMA , the serial actors' association and that he is still the President of ATMA.
The Minister also stated that the Association of Television Media Artistes (ATMA) cannot ban anyone who is acting in the field of television. "Regarding serials, the actors are cast by the channel officials. Even the directors are decided by them," Ganesh Kumar said.
The minister also responded to Director Vinayan's responses regarding the Hema committee report. Ganesh Kumar alleged that it was Vinayan's way of targeting those he did not like and that many of the things he said were just to get media attention.
After the Hema Committee report came out, Director Vinayan had come forward with allegations that the power group in Malayalam cinema was involved in the banning of Thilakan. Vinayan also came forward with indirect criticism against Ganesh Kumar.
