Expat makes huge national flag to put up in front of house

VANDOOR: As part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign organized as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an expatriate put up a huge national flag in his backyard. Puliyampatta Shankar, a resident of Elangoor, used the opportunity to hoist the flag in his backyard in a unique way.

The national flag is made in 3:2 ratio. Shankar looked up the things related to the making of the flag on Google. Then he asked a tailor, who was a friend, to do the sewing. When it got completed, the national flag was nine meters long and six meters wide. It took three days to make the flag. Many people come here to watch and take photos. Shankar and his family are celebrating the 75th Independence Day by giving sweets to all who come to see the flag.
