Explosives found in Thiruvabharanam procession route, BJP suspects terrorist activity, asks for investigation

KOZHIKODE: BJP State President K. Surendran has asked for a detailed investigation regarding the explosives that were found in Thiruvabharanam procession route just hours before its return.

Six gelatin sticks and one used stick have been found. The terrorist presence behind this and its relation to the weapon seizure in Pathanapuram and Konni should be enquired. The natives claiming the presence of strangers in the locality for a while should be taken into serious consideration. The government must provide strict safety measures to Thiruvabharanam procession, said Surendran.
