Govt sanctions Rs 23 cr for renovation of 13 rest houses

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Administrative permission has been given for Rs 23 crore for renovation of 13 more rest houses and construction of new blocks of Public Works Department. Minister PA Mohammad Riyas said that more rest houses are being renovated as introduction of online booking under the name People's Rest House has become very popular.

Ponmudi 2nd phase 5 crores, Parassala 3 crores, Munnar Annex 3 crores, Venjaramood 2nd phase 2.2 crores, Kuttikanam IB 1.8 crores, Njarakkal 1.5 crores, Kanhangad 1.5 crores, Kattakkada 1.4 crores, Thamarassery 1 crores, Kottarakkara 2nd phase 74 lakhs, Thekkady IB 60 Lakhs, Kunnamangalam 52 Lakhs, and Pozhikkara Palace Building 35 Lakhs. 2.5 crore for Thiruvananthapuram Public Office electrical work, 2.1 crore for Kumali PWD staff quarters, 1.96 crore for Kozhikode Regional Investigation and Design Office, 1.76 crore for second block of Kannur PWD Complex II phase and 32 lakh for Peerumedu Thottapura PWD staff quarters.
