Grief-stricken youth commits suicide over Manasa's death

MALAPPURAM: A youth committed suicide on Sunday after writing a note saying that he was stricken with grief due to the death of BDS student Manasa. Vineesh (33), a native of Changaramkulam in Malappuram, was found hanging inside his house.

It was Vineesh's neighbours who found the body hanging in the kitchen. The suicide note received from the kitchen stated that no one was responsible for his death and that he was saddened by Manasa's death.

Vineesh, a bachelor, lived with his mother. He was alone in his house on Sunday. Locals said that Vineesh suffered from mental illness. The body was sent to Manjeri Medical College for postmortem.

Manasa, a student of a private dental college in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam, was killed by a young man named Rakhil on Friday.
