HC holds sitting at midnight; stops ship from leaving

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court stopped a cargo ship from leaving the Cochin port. The action is against the ship M V Ocean Rose. The high court intervened in a sitting held midnight. The high court directed to pay Rs 2.5 crore immediately to the company which provided water to the ship.

The ship's move was to leave the port without paying. Justice Devan Ramachandran issued an order restraining the ship from leaving. A sitting was held midnight for the first time in the history of Kerala.
