THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There were heavy rains in many districts of the state after midnight. The Meteorological department has forecast rain and wind in all the districts. Yellow alert has been sounded in all districts except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Palakkad.
There is a possibility of isolated heavy and thunder showers. Fishermen have been warned not to venture into the sea till Wednesday. The winds are likely to blow at a speed of 60 km per hour. The sea is rough. An alert has been issued to people living on the coastal areas.
The low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal has now crossed the coast between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Under the influence of it, the Central Meteorological Department has forecast widespread rains in southern and central India.

June 14: Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod.
June 15: Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
June 16: Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
June 17: Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
