THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George said action will be taken after getting the investigation report on the death of a patient following an organ transplant surgery. The minister told media that stern action would be taken against those who have not performed their duties.
‘Ordinary people who don’t have anyone to recommend should also get good treatment. There will be a detailed investigation on how the organ was removed by outsiders. Suspending departmental heads is not a disciplinary action. A comprehensive investigation is underway.
Cannot move forward in an approach making the lives of the people worthless. Accurate instructions regarding the activities of the medical college have been given during this period. If there is a situation where it is not followed, then the government will take it very seriously,’ she said.
