Husband and wife charred to death as he sets fire; their daughter undergoing treatment for burns also dies

IDUKKI: A daughter who was undergoing treatment for severe burns died after her father set fire to her house in Puttadi, Idukki. Sreedhanya Raveendran, who was undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College Hospital, is the deceased.

Raveendran, Sreedhanya's father, set fire to her on April 25 morning . Raveendran and his wife Usha died on the spot. Sreedhanya suffered 80 per cent burns in the accident. Raveendran set fire to the unfinished house allotted under the Life Mission project. Asbestos sheets exploded in the house during the fire. According to witnesses, Sreedhanya came out of the house screaming when the fire broke out.
