THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A decision has been taken to re-examine the suspension of IG Lakshman suspended for helping Monson Mavaunkal. The government has appointed a panel led by chief secretary for this. The crime branch said there was no evidence to accuse Lakshman in the case.

The crime branch submitted a report to the government on it. Based on this, his suspension will be re-examined. Meantime, mistakes are there in the order of re-examination of the suspension.

His name Gokulath Lakshman was wrongly named and instead of IPS, IFS was given in the order. He was suspended on November 10.
