THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Volunteer Rekha P Mol has lodged a complaint with the Punnapra police in Alappuzha against Sreejith Panicker. The complaint was lodged for his Facebook post criticising the incident of taking a serious Covid patient to the hospital on a bike.

‘The complaint said they took the drastic step fearing the patient’s life if waited for the ambulance to reach in ten minutes. Had we waited till the ambulance arrived, the worst could have happened. She asked how can a man compare taking a serious patient on a bike to the condition of the jam on bread. If had not taken the patient, the person criticizing would have said something else’.

It is easy to blabber sitting in an AC room. Things are done by taking risks. She criticised him for his statement insulting women coming forward to do charity service. She said this in an interview to a media.

‘As the patient is seated between the driver and the one behind him, he has got the utmost care and attention. Imagine smearing jam between two pieces of bread. Bike is more profitable due to the rising fuel prices. Less maintenance. Nature conservation. More vehicle availability. Parking facility. Facility to ride it to the emergency room. Most importantly. There has been a situation where a patient has been raped in the ambulance. There is no chance for that on the bike. Life and dignity of the person will be protected,' said the post of Sreejith Panicker.
