Just a marketing strategy, says Tharoor on his complex English lexicon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Now Shashi Tharoor MP has opened up on why he is using so much tongue twisters in his books.
Tharoor came out with the explanation after certain complex, strange words in his new book ‘The paradoxical Prime Minister’ became viral in social media.

Tharoor says it is all just a marketing strategy. “If we say that we are announcing, launching or writing an ordinary book, it will not make big news. If that incident needs to intrude into the minds of people, certain marketing strategy may be needed. It is just like fishermen waiting for a big catch. It is just a number…”

In his Tweet regarding his book, Tharoor had used the word floccinaucinihilipilification, the longest non-technical word in the English language and it means an estimation of something as worthless.

He said that there was not a word bigger that paradoxical in his book the paradoxical prime minister.
