K Swift gets jammed in between pillars, pillars need to be cracked to take bus out

KOZHIKODE: The K Swift bus got jammed in between the pillars of the Kozhikode bus stand. The bus, which came from Bengaluru this morning got trapped. The accident happened while taking the bus forward after offloading the passengers. The glass should be broken if the bus has to be taken out or the sides of the pillars should be chipped off. The driver's inaccurate calculation of the distance between the pillars caused the bus to get jammed. It got more jammed when tried to take out. Attempts are being made to take the bus out.

This incident points to the inexperience of the driver as well as the flaws in the construction of the KSRTC terminal. There were widespread criticisms for not constructing properly the pillars without maintaining clear distance. Crores were spent for the construction of the building. A vigilance inquiry is also underway on the flaws in the construction.
