K Swift hits behind lorry halted in Alappuzha, ten sustain injuries, condition of bus driver serious

ALAPPUZHA: Ten sustained injuries after a KSRTC Swift Bus hit behind a lorry halted on the Vayalar national highway near Cherthala. Seriously injured bus driver Manoj has been admitted at Vandanam Medical College. Doctors said his condition is very serious.

The bus coming to Thiruvananthapuram met with the accident. Others who sustained minor injuries have been admitted at Cherthala taluk hospital. Due to the heavy rains, the lorry parked on the road side was not seen and this is suspected to have caused the accident.
