Kerala Budget 2023: FM announces Rs 300 cr for waterway, Rs 75 cr for state highways

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In his Budget speech on Friday, Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that the state has spent Rs 5680 crore for the development of national highways and it will be completed in three years. The Finance Minister announced that Rs 75 crore will be allocated in the budget for the development of state highways. Vizhinjam Ring Road will be made into an industrial corridor. Rs 1000 crore has been allocated through KIIFB for this purpose. Rs 300 crore has been earmarked for the West Coast Economic Corridor through KIIFB.

Finance Minister KN Balagopal has completed the second full budget presentation of the second Pinarayi government in the Assembly. The budget presentation started at 9 am in the morning.
