Kerala clocks 14,087 COVID-19 cases on Saturday, 109 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 14,087 COVID-19 cases on Saturday. Among these, 13,240 persons developed the disease through contact, including 696 cases without an identified source of infection. 98 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 53 health workers contracted the disease on Saturday.

11,867 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,15,226 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 109 deaths due to the virus on Saturday with the toll rising to 14,489.

Malappuram 1883, Thrissur 1705, Kozhikode 1540, Ernakulam 1465,Kollam 1347, Palakkad 1207, Thiruvananthapuram 949, Alappuzha 853, Kannur 765, Kasaragod 691, Kottayam 682, Pathanamthitta 357, Wayanad 330, Idukki 313.

1,31,682 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 10.7.
