Kerala clocks 22,414 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, TPR at 11.37

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 22,414 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 21,378 persons developed the disease through contact, including 835 cases without an identified source of infection. 114 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 87 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

19,478 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,76,048 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 108 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 17,211.

Malappuram 3691, Thrissur 2912, Ernakulam 2663, Kozhikode 2502, Palakkad 1928, Kollam 1527, Kannur 1299, Kottayam 1208, Thiruvananthapuram 1155, Kasargod 934, Alappuzha 875, Wayanad 696, Pathanamthitta 657, Idukki 367.

1,97,092 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 11.37.
