Kerala logs 4723 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, 19 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 5405 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Among these, 5093 persons developed the disease through contact, including 260 cases without an identified source of infection. 14 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 38 health workers contracted the disease on Wednesday.

4538 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 44,124 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 96 deaths due to the virus on Wednesday with the toll rising to 40,535.
