Kerala records 41,668 COVID-19 cases on Friday, 33 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 41,668 COVID-19 cases on Friday. Among these, 36,693 persons developed the disease through contact, including 4468 cases without an identified source of infection. 139 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 368 health workers contracted the disease on Friday.

17,053 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,99,041 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 33 deaths due to the virus on Friday with the toll rising to 51,607.

Thiruvananthapuram 7896, Ernakulam 7339, Kozhikode 4143, Thrissur 3667, Kottayam 3182, Kollam 2660, Palakkad 2345, Malappuram 2148, Kannur 2015, Alappuzha 1798, Pathanamthitta 1708, Idukki 1354, Wayanad 850, Kasaragod 563.
